About Me

Hi. I’m Felicity. I’m an early childhood teacher, mum and lover of baking.

My family home, on a sheep and wheat farm in Western Australia’s Central Wheatbelt, has given me the best childhood memories, many of which are filled with baking and cooking! Baking with Mum and my Nannas (both a wealth of cooking knowledge and experience) was a frequent and very enjoyable part of my childhood. I would spend hours watching, helping, licking beaters and taste testing.

As an early childhood teacher, I understand how valuable baking and time in the kitchen is for children. A life skill that also provides many hands-on learning opportunities, including numeracy, science, language and literacy, fine motor skills, coordination, social and emotional development, creativity, self esteem and above all else the satisfaction and enjoyment of creating lasting memories and delicious treats to enjoy. Bake Favours was developed in 2020, as a small home business and creative outlet while I took time from my teaching position to be at home with my young family. We initially offered a range of fun, interactive and delicious Cookie and Cupcake Baking Kits for Kids but have since expanded our range to be inclusive of big kids as well. Our hassle free baking kits (for all ages) provide a fantastic opportunity for quality, screen-free fun for the whole family. They include all of the dry ingredients needed to make and decorate, as well as a unique and interactive board game recipe card (and edible ‘Smarties’ counters to play the board game). Our kits make the perfect gift, stocking stuffer or an exciting weekend or school holiday activity.
